Note: The first movie retells the events of (mostly) Free! Eternal Summer from Haruka and the Iwatobi Swim Club's point of view, while the second movie focuses on Rin and the Samezuka swimming team's story.

The story revolves around Nanase Haruka, a boy who has always loved to be immersed in water, and to swim in it.
