Miaka and Taka return to the Universe of the Four Gods to try and restore Tamahome's memories to Taka. This is not as easy as it sounds, however, when the evil Tenkou shows up to rain on their parade. Led by the illusion of a phoenix, two friends enter a restricted room at the library where a mysterious book titled, "The Universe Of Four Gods" falls at their feet. They pick up the book and begin to read it when they are suddenly transported into the book. The boundaries between fiction and reality become hazy as they meet new friends, enemies and loved ones.
