Kubo Hidemi

A story adapted from the life of a young Asada Tetsuya, a famous novelist and mahjong player. Shinjuku in 1946 after the Pacific War. Asada Tetsuya learns the secrets of mahjong (a Chinese board game) from an old man, Boushuu, his mentor. Asada quickly becomes a famous mahjong player, and he eventually earns a title, Saint Jong (Jong Sei).

On the island of Jambe, an introverted boy named Subarna is given a magic crown, with whose help he soon becomes the people's hero, known for his kindheartedness. This enrages Rupia, the island's young prince, who has Subarna arrested. Source: MAL
