Barriya, the world’s most formidable lynx beastkin. Even today, she stood unflinching, locked in combat with a fool of a hyena.

She had fallen into the hands of a savage tiger beastkin, one so dim he couldn’t distinguish a lynx from a common house cat.

“Kyaoong! (Unhand me! Unhand me!)”

“Why does this vicious little kitten have such a bad temper?”

‘Shall I show you what my vicious claws are capable of?’

She aimed to rake her claws across the foolish tiger’s face and flee.

“You hate hyenas too? So do we. Let’s form an alliance.”

As it turned out, they shared a common enemy. Since she happened to need protection, she ended up staying with the tiger clan.

But something about these tigers… feels off.

“Do you like the horsey ride, little one?”

“Come on, eat. Eat more, until you’re rolling on the floor.”

“Let’s play together today.”

They were being overly kind to Barriya, who was supposed to be just an ally.
