Black Flower, Red Soil Web Novel
Muyeong lives on a remote mountainside, farming flowers.
His other job is that of a corpse disposal specialist. Muyeong’s role is to dismember the corpses entrusted to him by clients, incinerate them, and then send the flowers he has grown using the bone ash as fertilizer back to the clients.
Even Muyeong, who nonchalantly carries out work that would make others recoil in horror, has one single rule.
And that is to not kill people.
Even if a living ‘corpse’ comes in, he never kills a person himself. This sometimes leads to difficult situations, but Muyeong absolutely adheres to the rule he has set.
Then one day, on a night of pouring rain, Muyeong, who had gone out to check on a dike he had previously built up, discovers a large bag in front of his house. Thinking it was a corpse someone had abandoned and left behind, the moment he opens the bag to dispose of it, he makes eye contact with the corpse inside.
The corpse is alive. No, it was a person who was never dead to begin with!
The man, who had strangled Muyeong as soon as their eyes met, belatedly asked Muyeong.
“Who are you? Where… is this?”
And so, Muyeong’s cohabitation with the man he was about to dismember begins uncertainly…
