Black Jack, a mysterious young unlicensed doctor with godlike skills, travels the world performing feats of impossible surgery, charging vast fees for his services, and challenging the corrupt practices of the medical establishment. This selection of stories, each adapted from a single original manga issue, focuses more on interpersonal relationships and back-story than most other Black Jack series. This series of short Flash animation episodes was made just before the Four Miracles of Life and Black Jack TV series. Each episode is directly adapted from a specific manga issue. They can be accessed online via a paid subscription. All but three of the stories animated here were also animated later in the Black Jack TV series or as part of the Black Jack movie and OAVs.
