In the first OVA Pinoko suffers from an inexplicable pain attack, but tests are inconclusive. Black Jack is stimied until he learns the mother of the child is Yuri Saionji. In the second OVA Black Jack gets kidnapped whilst returning home by plane. The dictator of an extremely totalaritan regime suffers from a seemingly inoperable brain tumor and wants BJ to operate him, which has to be done without anaesthesia.
