Reno Banks was once an active field officer for CROSS, an organization dedicated to fighting crime. But when his foolish blunder results in his partner's death, he opts to take up the 'safe' position of accountant instead. It isn't long, however, before Reno finds himself forced back into action with a new partner -- the aloof and highly skilled Jinguuji Arata -- who solemnly tells him, "Don't worry, I won't die."
