Satsuki Miyanoshita and her younger brother Keichiro moved from Tokyo to their mother's hometown who died after a long illness. Not long after they moved in, they discovered that the old abandoned school building near their new school is haunted by demons and evil spirits. At first, they don't seem want to get involved with it, not until their family cat, Kaya, is taken by a demon. In order to save the town, Satsuki and her younger brother Keichiro along with their new friends, Momoko, Reo and Hajime forms a team to fight those demons. Note: This anime was originally supposed to have a completely different episode 3 titled "Am I Pretty? Hairlip Girl" (あたし, きれい? 口裂け女). But due to protests from people with cleft lip and palate, the episode was not put on air and the studio quickly made a recap/summary episode of the two previous episodes for the broadcast day of 05.11.2000. The original episode 3 was never released to the public. Furthermore, the broadcast of episode 19 was skipped. It did eventually air on TV on 24.08.2001, but the producers had labelled it as a special, not part of the regular episode numbering. Another recap/summary episode aired on 03.01.2001.
