In Oumae Kumiko's first year in the Kitauji High School Wind Ensemble, they surprised everyone by blazing through the Kyoto and Kansai competitions and making it to the national competition under advisor Taki Noboru. Their seniors graduated, but the remaining members are in high spirits, and their national exposure led to an influx of competent new students.
