The Deep Sleep Capsule technology has allowed man to reach out to the stars. These chambers slow the ageing process by 95%, so that a 20-year trip passes, and the traveller only ages by one year. The year is 2264, and the Syncam Corporation has sent the Saldes and its crew of 13 and one cat out into deep space to explore the potential of a newly found planet 20 years away. Soon after the crew awakens from stasis, however, ever more threatening problems mount up: first, the crew learns that two of the crew are not who they claim to be; then, one by one, crew members die suddenly; and finally the ship begins to turn against them. But this is not the end of their troubles...
