The first thought that came to Els Lip when he regained consciousness was: Never die a second time.

Since this world made immortality possible through magic, that had to be his top priority.

There were many paths to immortality, but he didn’t want to be a god’s servant, a puppet of the undead, or a lingering soul of the past…

He wanted to enjoy life in the form of the strongest creature alive.
