A man rescues Harang when she is surrounded by delinquent youths. Her gratitude is short-lived, however, as the man approaches her in a way that is even more dangerous.

“A college student? No wonder you’re cute.”

“…You think I’m cute?”

“Should I say you look like you were born to be made to cry?”

A while later, he reappears in front of Harang. It turns out he is her older brother’s friend and their new live-in English tutor: Tae Inhyuk.

“If you weren’t my friend’s little sister, I would have taken you to my bed and made you cry several times over.”

Tae Inhyuk was utterly disqualified as a teacher. He was excessively handsome, excessively seductive, and excessively Harang’s ideal type.

“Teacher, I’ve made up my mind.”

“Made up your mind about what?”

Her face was as red as a ripe fruit, but her eyes were unwavering.

“I’ve made up my mind to kiss you, Teacher.”

At her bold, even wicked, declaration, Inhyuk’s face showed bewilderment. After staring at Harang for a moment, Inhyuk pulled the chair she was sitting on straight toward him. As he lowered his head at an angle as if to kiss her, Harang’s surprised eyes darted nervously.

“I’m warning you beforehand: if you’re going to kiss me, you’d better be prepared for more than just that.”

On the tail end of a certain spring day, when it was too hot to keep the windows closed but too early to turn on the air conditioner, at the ambiguous threshold of a season that defied definition, Harang had to define the intense emotion she was feeling for the very first time in her life.
