High school student Kou leaves his grandparents' house in Tokyo and returns to his home town, Yamami village. A childhood incident has left Kou with a crippling fear of fire, but in Yamami he meets a "Sorcerer’s Apprentice" who changes his attitude towards fire forever. A coming-of-age story revolving around two boys who dream of becoming pyrotechnicians.
