On his twenty-second birthday, Chi Xi suddenly discovers that he’s just a cannon-fodder side character in a novel one who dies young.

That alone would’ve been bad enough.

But why is it that his lifelong nemesis gets to be the story’s ultimate villain who survives till the very end?

Unwilling to accept his fate, Chi Xi decides that starting tomorrow, he’ll turn over a new leaf no more dying early. He’s going to rise, fight back, and race down the path toward becoming a big boss himself!

But when he wakes up the next morning and opens his door.

There stands his arch-enemy, Wen Jichen, who’s been ambushed and turned back into a six-year-old. The child looks pitifully up at him, lost and helpless.

The cold, calculating, and ruthless “old dog” who used to be immovable and untouchable is nowhere to be found.

Instead, there’s just a little kid with no legal identity standing at his doorstep.

Chi Xi: Wonderful!

Chi Xi: “Call me Dad, and I’ll take you in!”

Wen Jichen:

When Wen Jichen finally returns to his adult form, Chi Xi for once panics. After all the chaos he caused while the man was small, what if President Wen wants revenge?

Wen Jichen: “It’s fine. You can pay me back… with your body.”

And so begins a story where Chi Xi first becomes his enemy’s dad and later, his wife.
