The Dirty Pair's latest case sends them to the mining colony on planet Ookbar in search of a missing telepathic girl. The less-than-helpful chief of security, Samara, has them arrested and escorted off-planet before they can even start their investigation. Undeterred, Kei and Yuri follow the only lead they have: Missinie was probably brought to the rain forest of Nolandia, the only other place on the planet that is habitable.
